Objectives: Upon completion of this course students will be able to:
o Understand the history of real estate and the government practices that institutionalized racism in real estate
o Identify MN organizations that currently work towards eradicating racism in real estate
o Identify the real estate professional’s role in ensuring fair housing for all
o Examine individual bias that interferes in the effective and fair practice of real estate
o Create a diverse business model and understand the benefits of diversity 

This is the same class that will be offered in person 10/22/2021. (You cannot get credit for both.) 
This course is PENDING approval by the MN Commissioner of Commerce for 3.75 hours of Real Estate Continuing Education.
This course is provided by Minnesota Realty School.

Cost: FREE to SCAAR Members
$47.00 if you are not a REALTOR Member of SCAAR

Registration will close Oct. 25 at noon. This will allow us to get a list of registered individuals to the instructor. Attendees will then get an email containing information on how to log in. On the day of class, log in 15 minutes before the class start time to check in. At the start time of class, access will be locked and no one may enter the virtual class.

*You will have a test at the end of this class. Upon completion of the course and passing of the test, you would get credit for attendance in Pulse Portal within 10 days.

Mike Brennan - MN Realty School
Mike was licensed from May 1995 until February 2012. He has taught pre-license and continuing education classes since 2003 in Minnesota, Nevada, Wyoming, Montana, Florida and Wisconsin. Mike's energy and enthusiasm keeps students engaged and alert. Mike became an investment property owner in 1993, which sparked his interest in real estate. Since then, Mike has worked in restoring/reselling houses, rentals and sales. Mike is involved with the Minnesota Board of REALTORS® and has volunteered for many committees, including Professional Standards, Nominating, Executive and the Board of Directors for the State Association of REALTORS®. Mike lives in St. Paul in an older Victorian house with his wife, their children, and two dogs.  

You have until the start time of class to cancel your registration. If you do not cancel and do not show up, members will be charged a no show fee of $10.50 per credit hour. Non-members will forfeit their registration fee. To cancel your registration, log on to the SCAAR portal (where you registered), click on the class and click on cancel. Follow the steps to cancel your registration. If you are not able to log on to cancel, you may send an email to Kelly@stcloudrealtors.com to cancel your registration. If you are not a member of SCAAR and decide to cancel your registration, there is a $10.00 fee.
